Why Should You Trust

Hearing Connections Audiology

Science Based Hearing Care, Far Beyond Hearing Aids

Lifetime of Experience

Dr. Verbsky began practicing clinical audiology in 1991 at a hearing and speech center where her case load was about half children and half adults.  After nearly a decade of clinical practice, she was awarded two training grants to pursue a PhD at The Ohio State University.  Her doctoral dissertation work with hearing aids and hearing protection for hearing-impaired listeners led to a Research Audiologist position at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in Cincinnati, OH.  Dr. Verbsky was the Project Officer for the Hearing-Impaired Worker Study which involved both lab studies and field work.

Location

We see our patients in a comfortable office setting using a sound booth and state-of-the-art equipment to complete research-based diagnostic and treatment protocols. Since we work directly with the Veterans Administration to provide audiology examinations, we have been certified to be ADA-compliant.

Harvard Neuroscientist Approved

Our hearing loss correction plans have been carefully designed by Dr. Keith Darrow, Ph.D. a Clinical Audiologist, Neuroscientist, Certified Dementia Practitioner, medical researcher, and author.

Customized Services

Because Dr. Verbsky is a specialist audiologist, she sees patients with a wide variety of hearing problems. In order to provide complete and accurate diagnoses, some patients may need more than just a basic pure tone audiogram and speech testing. We use Best Practices as defined by the American Academy of Audiology, ASHA, and other standards organizations to determine the testing protocol for each patient.

What To Expect On Your First Visit
